Action for Children

Big Shoulders Fund and Action for Children have teamed up to bring quality, affordable Early Childhood education to Chicagoland families. The Illinois Child Care Assistance Program makes it possible for families who qualify to receive financial assistance in paying for childcare. Parents must meet the State of Illinois’ income and family size guidelines.

All Big Shoulders Fund schools are preferred Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) schools. CCAP is valid to use for students ages 3-5 or any students in our extended day programs. What does this mean for you?

If your family qualifies for CCAP, you can attend a Big Shoulders Fund Early Childhood Program for a low co-pay that makes a Catholic education at one of our schools extremely affordable.

Use this Child Care Eligibility Calculator to find out if you qualify for CCAP.

You can fill out an application on Action for Children's website here OR contact your school directly for application assistance.
